My pocket-knife has a shiny blade

How little things change. I am sitting here reading a text-book listening to Polly Harvey some 10 years after leaving university.
Nothing changes.
Her new album “Uh huh her” is such a nostalgic ride for someone who saw her live in 1992. Many of the tunes are reminiscent of her music in that era. The same strength and barefacedness that disturbed the mainstream music labels. But with a lot more maturity shown in the production.
Even the sound of “Cat on a wall” is so early ’90s alternative. It sounds inspired by the likes of CUD.
Definitely the music of the moment for me. Especially as the weather here has gone so autumnal.
