Reinstatement of Buslijn 136 during peak business hours Petition

A few weeks ago a sign appeared on the bus I take to work everyday. It told us commuters that the bus network had been improved.

Just last week we get more information.
Turns out that commuters to the business park where I work have a simple, stark choice.
Either they take the 157 to Muiden, middle-of-nowhere, and then wait 25 minutes and change to the new 110.
OR they can take the 101 from Amsterdam Amstel, a 20 minute walk for me, and then get off and have a 20 minute walk to Gooimeer!

As you can see, it is replacing a very convenient and reliable service with one that is not convenient at all!

Commuters were also not consulted. The first we found out was when the signs appeared in the bus.
I don’t find this acceptable so I have started a petition to get the bus reinstated during peak business hours. [When the bus is usuallly packed full.]
If you want to “give-it-to-the-man” and make a difference please sign the petition!

The petition goals also makes sense for the bus company as I already know some people who are going to carpool because of this. Meaning they lose revenue!

    Yeah, I agreed. They should expand the public transport net instead of shrinking it. Maybe that way more people will use it. Currently its not more convenient or cheaper than using a car … which is just so wrong !!!!
