NetVibes – My New Browser Homepage

I have started using NetVibes as my browsers homepage.

NetVibes is a configurable web portal site, similar to My Yahoo et. al. but with a lot of customisable functionality.
You can even even write your own extesions.

One of the cool features is the ability to use tabs to organise you stuff.
I have the major feeds on one tab, such as slashdot and makezine, and the personal blog feeds on another.

There are also great plugins for viewing Flickr and bookmarks.

But the one that has made me happiest is the iCal feed plugin.
I have set mine up to read off the feed.

And to round it off you can also have notes and to-do lists.
It is a nice and rounded service that is easy to use and set up.

You can also, if you do not care too much about security, set it up to read a pop email account.
